Grace: Favor or kindness shown without regard to the worth or merit of the one who receives it and in spite of what that person deserves. Grace is one of the key attributes of God.
The Lord God is “merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth” (Ex. 34:6).
Therefore, grace is almost always associated with mercy, love, compassion, and patience.
Grace Is Amazing!
In Ephesians 2:8 we see our Daddy’s heart to receive us, and His wisdom in rescuing us from the perils of certain death. “…For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God…”. It is truly amazing that God hid His true plan to restore us as His family until the right time when Jesus invaded the earth with the principle of AGAPE Love.
The Amplified Bible describes grace as “the divine act of influence on the heart”. In a nutshell, God said He would actually jump inside us and change our whole nature to reflect His. Jesus once said that we didn’t choose Him, but He chose us even before the heavens and the earth were created. Our task is to freely receive the Life He offers, and devote our whole being to Him to do as He pleases with us. God doesn’t just look where we have been, but also where we are going. In His eternal wisdom, He foresaw our dilemma, and had a plan to bring us safely where we belonged all along. By His side, and at His table. Grace to me is simply one of the greatest GIFTS our Abba could have ever done for us.
Grace Is A Gift
Isn’t it amazing that you don’t have to earn God’s love for you? As it has been said, you can not do anything to make God love you more, and there’s nothing you can do to make Him love you less. Our ABBA knows whose are His. If we are really born again, our nature will increasingly take on His personality. Traits like unconditional Love, humility, kindness, and selfless service are sure signs to everyone that Jesus lives in you. It is also noted that these attributes are very attractive to God.
I’ve heard a lot of debate for years that has permeated many Christian denominations. At the heart of the discussion, is it possible for one to lose their salvation? It will quickly become evident that the one who has received the life of Jesus would never think about leaving or bailing out on Him, or on one another. Remember, Jesus told us that everyone would know we are His by our Love for one another. The apostle John once said that there were those who ‘went out from us, but were not of us’. God is assembling His family, and when all is said and done, those whose hearts are devoted to Him will all be caught away to spend an eternity Loving our Daddy, and enjoying each other.
